The cooperative aims to provide and maintain healthy and affordable housing to its members through mutual self-help and co-responsibility. It promotes communal living. From a Christian perspective, the cooperative members support each other, especially with regard to aging together. It promotes cohabitation in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity. It seeks to achieve this purpose through: a) Acquisition of building land and building rights. b) Construction and acquisition of properties that meet contemporary cooperative housing needs. c) Careful and ongoing maintenance and periodic renewal of existing buildings. d) Construction of replacement buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renewed in an economically viable manner. e) Utilization of promotional instruments according to the federal housing promotion law or corresponding cantonal and municipal laws. f) Management and rental of apartments based on cost rent. g) Promotion of cooperative activities in the settlements. h) In the individual settlements, it is defined how the tenants support each other and live their common spirituality. i) The cooperative members can support financially disadvantaged tenants on a private level. j) Ideological and material support of efforts that aim for healthy and good living. The activity of the cooperative is non-profit and not profit-oriented. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with the same or similar objectives. It is a member of the Swiss Housing Cooperatives WBG.
