The foundation aims to create, renew, maintain, manage, rent, and preserve affordable residential and commercial spaces with simple and sustainable standards in the Schaffhausen region. In doing so, it strives to achieve social and demographic diversity in town centers and to consider charitable, cultural, religious, social, welfare, and educational needs. The properties are primarily intended for parties with small and medium financial resources. Individual properties can be used for specific purposes within the framework of the foundation's objectives. The foundation commits to acting according to ecological principles in the maintenance and operation of residential and commercial spaces, as well as to the preservation and care of protected historic buildings. The foundation can acquire its own properties (including building rights) and construct and renovate its own buildings. It can claim promotional instruments, among others, according to the federal housing promotion law and corresponding cantonal and municipal laws. The foundation can take out loans and secure them with mortgages.
