The cooperative aims to provide its members with housing at favorable conditions while offering an alternative, flexible, and attractive housing concept that is part of the sustainable development movement and provides innovative solutions to major societal challenges, while ensuring, through joint action, economic interests determined by its members. To achieve this goal, the cooperative will: a) acquire building land and superficies rights; b) construct new types of housing that meet the current housing needs of a cooperative; c) carefully maintain and renovate existing buildings; d) carry out new constructions when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in a cost-effective manner; e) use support instruments in the sense of federal, cantonal, or communal laws that encourage the construction of moderate-rent or moderate-price housing; f) administer and rent out housing in accordance with the principle of cost-covering rents; g) build apartments for sale in the form of condominiums or under superficies rights. However, the cooperative undertakes not to convert into condominiums any operation carried out with state support or on land sold or made available under superficies rights by a public authority. h) promote cooperative activities in the cities; i) provide conceptual and material support to initiatives aimed at providing affordable and quality housing. The cooperative's activity is of public utility and does not pursue any profit-making purpose. The cooperative may participate in enterprises and organizations pursuing an identical or similar purpose.
