The cooperative aims to provide its members and the town of Kaiserstuhl with good, ecologically and socially sustainable, and affordable living, working, and cultural spaces, and to maintain them, to provide the necessary infrastructure services, and to undertake everything that serves a livable Kaiserstuhl. It strives to offer all services to all sections of the population. It promotes community and coexistence in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity, also in its residential buildings. It also promotes cultural events in the town hall and takes into account the needs of the residents and workers of Kaiserstuhl in its actions. It seeks to achieve this purpose in particular through: a) the acquisition of building land and building rights; b) the acquisition or construction of properties; c) the rental of residential or commercial spaces; d) careful and ongoing maintenance and periodic renovation of its buildings; e) the care and operation of cultural assets; f) the purchase and operation of infrastructure facilities to supply its members and the residents of Kaiserstuhl; g) the administration and rental of apartments, workspaces, and cultural spaces on the basis of cost rent; h) the promotion of cooperative and cultural activities in its own properties and in Kaiserstuhl; i) the promotion of neighborhood solidarity and strengthening of the community of its members; j) the promotion of self-organization in its properties. The cooperative can claim funding instruments under the federal housing promotion law or corresponding cantonal and communal laws. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with the same or similar goals. It is a member of the Swiss Housing Cooperatives Association, Association of Non-Profit Housing Providers.
