Genossenschaft Wärmeverbund Schulweg Islikon (WVSI)

The purpose of the cooperative is, in mutual self-help and excluding any speculative intention and on a non-profit basis, to create and operate a heat network with wood chip and natural gas firing at a reasonable price for the residents of the primary school and the municipality of Gachnang. Heat generation is carried out to at least 80% from renewable energy, with wood chips primarily sourced from the municipality of Gachnang and the region. Primarily, members of the cooperative are entitled to heat supply. The WVSI cooperative limits its activities to the territory of the municipality of Gachnang.
