The cooperative aims to permanently provide affordable housing for elderly, economically disadvantaged residents in the municipality of Waldkirch at bearable financial conditions, to maintain and cover the demand through the acquisition, management or rental of apartments. The cooperative's activity is non-profit and not profit-oriented. The cooperative builds and rents affordable apartments. For this purpose, it can acquire, encumber and sell undeveloped and developed properties and building rights. The cooperative is politically and denominationally neutral. It can also participate in other companies with the same or similar objectives and acquire membership in umbrella organizations of non-profit housing cooperatives.
