The purpose of the cooperative is to preserve and operate the Oberer Mönchhof property in Kilchberg and to place it under heritage protection with the intention of permanently preserving the character of the building and its surroundings, subject to the new and redevelopment agreements made by the legal predecessor in the property ownership on March 13, 1951, which do not alter the character of the property. The cooperative does not pursue any commercial purposes. In particular, it is not the task of the cooperative to run the restaurant associated with the property itself.
