The association sees itself as a platform for promoting cooperation and trust among its members by providing infrastructures that enable the secure exchange of information related to stored precious metals. Particular emphasis is placed on maintaining confidentiality, complying with legal requirements, and promoting responsible and sustainable handling of precious metals. Furthermore, the association provides educational work and supports its members in compliance matters to ensure a legally secure and transparent handling of stored precious metals. The association can conclude contracts, take necessary and suitable measures, plan and implement initiatives, and participate - also financially - in initiatives of other organizations or financially or otherwise support other organizations or individuals, as long as all these activities serve the purpose of the association. The association can develop, use, and operate technologies and applications related to its purpose. The association can also accept donations from third parties and act as a trustee in pursuit of its purpose. The association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not strive for profit.
