The cooperative aims to provide affordable housing and build and acquire residential buildings or apartments without seeking material profit. It is committed to non-profit, non-profit housing construction and, in particular, aims to promote affordable housing in the sense of the Federal Housing and Property Promotion Act (WEG) and corresponding cantonal and communal ordinances. When renting out apartments, the cooperative ensures that they are primarily allocated to persons in modest financial circumstances of retirement age. The cooperative may acquire or sell land or real estate companies, build, acquire, manage or rent houses. The sale of land or parts thereof is also permitted. When selling real estate, the cooperative ensures that the buyer cannot conduct profitable transactions. To prevent speculation, it can exercise rights of first refusal, pre-emption rights and similar reservations in the sense of the WEG. The cooperative can participate in companies with the same or similar objectives and acquire membership in umbrella organizations of non-profit building cooperatives.
