The purpose of the foundation is to provide support to needy Swiss citizens residing in the political municipality of Bauma. In particular, it aims to facilitate the progress of distressed mountain farmers. Only individuals who have been resident in the political municipality of Bauma for at least three years prior to receiving support are eligible for assistance. This provision does not apply to citizens of Bauma. b) The foundation also aims to facilitate and enable the vocational training and further education, as well as studies at secondary and higher education institutions, of young, respectable Swiss citizens residing in the political municipality of Bauma, by awarding scholarships. c) The purpose of the foundation is also to support public, non-profit, Reformed Church, cultural, and social institutions and associations in the political municipality of Bauma through contributions. Specifically, support shall be provided to: 1. The Sunday schools of the Reformed Church of Bauma to finance Christmas gifts. 2. The Bauma school to finance school trips. 3. The Böndler old people's home in Bauma to finance Christmas gifts. 4. The SPITEX association Bauma to support needy patients. 5. The non-profit women's associations based in the political municipality of Bauma for home care. 6. The kindergartens of the Bauma school to finance Christmas gifts. d) The foundation shall also provide catering for the August 1st celebrations in the political municipality of Bauma (Bauma, Saland, Sternenberg) after the official ceremony.
