The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any profit. The purpose of the foundation is: a) to promote the (academic) education of students with residence in Switzerland, including participation in the costs of domestic and foreign studies, internships and projects. A prerequisite for a grant is that the applicants must provide proof that neither they nor their family can afford the necessary funds, or that the provision of the necessary funds exceeds the financial capabilities of the applicant or their family; b) to provide financial contributions to tax-exempt or non-profit universities and educational institutions. The foundation is free to choose the means of achieving its purpose. It can enter into any legal transaction that serves the purpose directly or indirectly. In particular, it can also award grants and prizes; c) The foundation can acquire, own, rent, lease, sublease, sell and take over or transfer real estate and land. The foundation can take out and grant loans.
