The company's purpose is to provide services in public transportation, particularly the transportation of goods on inland waterways in cross-border traffic, as well as the conclusion of all commercial transactions related thereto, such as chartering ships (bareboat) and all actions necessary for the operation of ships. The company is authorized to conduct all business and take all measures that appear suitable to serve the company's purpose. In particular, the company is authorized to rent or lease ships to other companies owned by its shareholders and to provide additional related services in this context. The company is also authorized to establish branches in Switzerland and abroad, to acquire other companies within the scope of its business purpose, to participate in such companies, and to form interest groups. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the company may not conclude any transaction that would lead to a regulated activity or an activity for which the company is required to hold a license or permit without having obtained the corresponding license or permit.
