The association promotes the development and implementation of a hospital-supplementing or hospital-replacing acute medical care concept based on the international model of Hospital at Home. This aims to bring medicine closer to people again and enable individual care for patients in their familiar environment, even in acute illness. The association supports the interprofessional and collaborative work of caregivers, doctors and therapists. The association's objectives are fulfilled through a cooperation with a hospital in the German-speaking part of Switzerland for medicine. These institutions associated with the association are economically independent and are usually legally constituted as independent entities. The association is politically and denominationally independent. The association is not profit-oriented. The organs are active on a voluntary basis.
