The company's purpose is to acquire and hold participations in companies, Swiss or foreign. The company is also active in advising family offices (family wealth consulting services), particularly with regard to their organizational and family assets, financing research, or supporting the needs of beneficiaries. The company may carry out, either on its own account or on behalf of third parties, or in participation, all financial, commercial, and securities transactions directly or indirectly related to its purpose. The company may execute financing operations, grant loans to third parties as well as to group companies and direct or indirect shareholders of the company, and provide securities of any kind for its own commitments or for the commitments of the aforementioned companies vis-à-vis third parties, including pledges, security transfers, and guarantees, even if these loans or securities are in the exclusive interest of the aforementioned companies and are granted without the company receiving remuneration in return, it being specified that any gratuitous alienation (i.e. except for dividends and liquidation or at the expense of freely available reserves) is prohibited. Furthermore, it may conclude cash pooling contracts (group financing) with other group companies.
