The Association aims to:
Promote and defend fundamental human rights; Improve the security and protection of human rights defenders; Defend and protect the rights to life, self-determination, development, health, food, water and sanitation, adequate housing, cultural rights and other rights; Support and safeguard the rights of individuals, including indigenous peoples, women, children, migrants, internally displaced persons and persons with disabilities; Defend the rights of national or ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities, ensuring their inclusion; Foster inclusivity; Ensure transparency and access to information; Promote human rights in the context of emerging new technologies and the role of human rights in the regulation of artificial intelligence; Protect human rights defenders, journalists and trade union members; Defend and protect the rights of LGBTQ+ persons; Protect and promote environmental health, combat climate change and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); Promote human rights related to sustainability objectives such as the right to education and the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women; Advance human rights in the framework of the promotion of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; Defend the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights; Promote corporate responsibility for respecting human rights; Organize seminars and training for human rights defenders; Provide logistical and administrative assistance to international institutions based in Geneva; Produce public interest media content; Organize debates and conferences on human rights and security issues; Carry out advocacy activities within international and intergovernmental organizations; Promotion, protection and defense of human rights; Establish transparent and accountable public governance, based on the rule of law and the protection of human rights; Promote the establishment of free and fair elections and the development of democratic institutions; Promote the development of a tolerant and egalitarian society; Promote and support the protection of human rights, policies of confidence-building and conflict transformation; Promote the development of civil society; Monitor elections at all levels and participate in international election observation missions; Engage in all other activities of non-governmental organizations in accordance with Swiss law; The Association is non-profit.
