Through the joint action and co-responsibility of its members, the cooperative aims to provide its members with safe housing at moderate rents and to preserve it. It aims to offer housing for all sections of the population, particularly single people, families, seniors, and those with special needs. It may offer apartments to students. It promotes community life in the sense of global civic responsibility and reciprocal solidarity. The cooperative may offer commercial premises in its buildings. The cooperative wishes to develop housing that meets demanding criteria in terms of living together, solidarity economy, social quality, promotion of the arts, music, and respect for the environment, according to the principles set out in its charter. The cooperative seeks to achieve this goal as follows: The acquisition of building land and superficies rights; The construction and acquisition of buildings corresponding to the needs of modern cooperative housing; Careful and continuous maintenance as well as periodic renovation of existing buildings; The construction of replacement buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in an economically and justifiable manner; The use of incentives in accordance with federal housing law or corresponding cantonal and communal laws; The administration and rental of housing on a cost-price basis; The construction of housing and buildings for sale in condominium or superficies rights; The promotion of cooperative activities in the spirit of the cooperative in the developments; Conceptual and material support for initiatives aimed at providing valuable and high-quality housing. The cooperative's activity is of public utility and does not pursue any profit-making purpose. The cooperative undertakes to promote the principles of Non-Violent Communication (NVC), which promotes benevolent and constructive exchanges and allows conflicts to be resolved. These principles are detailed in Annex 4. The cooperative may participate in companies and organizations pursuing an identical or similar purpose. It may be a member of the Swiss Housing Cooperatives, the Federation of Public Utility Contractors.
