IFPI, International Federation of the Phonographic Industry

IFPI is a non-profit association. Its purpose is: to create and promote the rights of record producers and producers of videographic products ("music videos") worldwide, nationally through laws, legal practice or contracts and internationally through agreements and arrangements. Where such rights already exist, they should be defended, maintained and further developed; to promote the interests of record producers and videographic products ("music videos") by making representations to governments and negotiating with international governmental and non-governmental organizations and other interested representative institutions; any other activities to promote the current and future well-being of the association's members in general, including anti-piracy activities and holding participations in operationally active subsidiaries.
