The association aims to unite the efforts of people from the Great Lakes region, whether living abroad or in the region, as well as all friends of peace, to amplify the voices and defend the families of the region, as well as other people facing difficulties. The association pursues the following objectives, based on seven pillars: a) fight for truth and justice: exposing the truth about political issues, human rights, and governance in Rwanda as a first step towards justice; b) support for families of missing persons: providing support to families of missing persons, helping them to cover their basic needs and demanding investigations and research into these cases; c) right to free expression: defending the right of every person to express themselves freely in the media or on other platforms; d) right to economic empowerment: promoting the right of all to a legal and sustainable job without harming others; e) release of prisoners: demanding the immediate and unconditional release of all persons detained unfairly; f) equal access to health and education: fighting for health and education to be accessible to all, without distinction of ethnicity, political affiliation or other; g) promotion of a democratic government: proposing ideas to establish a government based on true democratic principles, educating Rwandans about their rights and eradicating any oppressive system.
