The goals and tasks of the association are: to promote unity among members, to improve progress among us, to foster social understanding among members, brothers and sisters, spouses, friends and well-wishers. To promote our federal state Imo, in Switzerland and at home in Nigeria, through the organization of social, cultural and humanitarian activities, as well as seminars for rehabilitation and restoration of a good image of our motherland. To offer all members the opportunity to realize their thoughts and dreams, exchange ideas with the outside world, to build a strong future for themselves and the nation, regardless of political tendencies and education. To support, protect, respect, motivate each other and respect the constitution of our association and also the constitution and laws of our host country Switzerland. To maintain friendly and meaningful communication among us, as well as to provide members with relevant information about Imo, Nigeria, Switzerland and the whole world. To fulfill these goals and tasks, the association organizes cultural events, conferences, lectures, discussions, exchange of information and excursions. The association will also provide practical and useful information and advice for the interaction between Swiss and Igbo people. The association is an independent, non-political, non-profit organization.
