The foundation aims to promote, in a non-profit manner, knowledge among the general public (the entire population as well as specific population groups such as children and young people, learners and teachers, computer specialists and professionals from other fields) in technology, development, applications, and impacts of computer science, as well as computer-related fields such as robotics or computational linguistics in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. The foundation can support corresponding projects and events at all levels of education, from primary school to university, as well as in vocational education and training and continuing professional development with grants. The foundation can also support corresponding projects and events in collaboration with institutions in other European countries if they have a positive impact on the promotion of knowledge and education in computer science in Switzerland. The foundation does not have a commercial purpose and does not seek profit.
