The foundation aims to promote the convalescent care of patients of the Insel Gruppe AG, Bern. To achieve this purpose, it can operate its own convalescent facility or provide grants to other convalescent institutions for operating, maintenance or investment costs. Convalescent patients of the Insel Gruppe AG, Bern, can also be supported with financial contributions that promote recovery. To achieve its purpose, the foundation can support projects aimed at improving the situation of convalescent patients of the Insel Gruppe AG. These projects support integrated care in the environment of the Insel Gruppe AG. To achieve its purpose, the foundation can finance real estate that serves the creation of senior housing (assisted living), convalescent institutions and care facilities, as well as care places. It can rent such real estate to companies/institutions that ensure the operation of such facilities at prices below market value, in accordance with the guidelines established by the Canton of Bern. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose.
