The association aims to conduct independent scientific research, with a focus on the environment and health, but not exclusively. Its tasks include: a) conducting or enabling scientific research b) publishing scientific articles, contributions, and studies in specialist journals, magazines, books, and media c) organizing, conducting, or participating in educational measures to raise societal awareness and understanding of environmentally and health-relevant topics (e.g., conferences, lectures, seminars, courses, publications) d) participating and engaging in political decision-making processes at local, regional, cantonal, national, European, global, and international levels e) participating in the scientific discourse f) promoting efforts that strive to achieve the goals set by the association. The association's main area of work is in Switzerland, but it also carries out corresponding tasks worldwide. It seeks cooperation with other individuals, associations, organizations, and groups that work towards similar goals. The association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not aim to make a profit.
