The Company's purpose is to operate reinsurance activities in all branches of insurance, as well as to carry out all operations that the Company's purpose may entail. The Company may acquire, hold, manage, pledge, enhance and dispose of real estate in Switzerland and abroad, except for operations prohibited by the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Foreigners (LFAIE). To support its purpose and subject to required regulatory approval, the Company may grant loans, secured or unsecured, to direct or indirect shareholders and may operate or participate in cash pooling/netting arrangements, including periodic balance adjustments, with companies of the group to which it belongs. The Company may engage in all commercial, financial and other activities that are conducive to its purpose or related thereto.
