The purpose of the association is: a) to promote a legally regulated and economic climate that promotes public health, ensuring patients' access to medical technology services; b) to encourage its members to commit to ethical business principles and practices in their relations with each other and with the medical device industry in general; c) to cooperate with the medical device industry and represent its interests before all relevant authorities at the municipal, regional and federal levels of the Russian Federation; d) to promote the development of new and innovative medical technologies and ensure that they are made accessible to patients; e) to provide its members with timely and relevant information from authorities, as well as market and economic information; f) to maintain contact and cooperate with the Russian medical device industry and similar Russian and foreign associations of medical device manufacturers to promote the interests of its members; g) to offer a forum where its members can exchange ideas, build consensus and effectively express their opinions, with the aim of influencing the policy, legislation and public perception of the medical device industry; and h) to offer a mechanism to regulate marketing and advertising activities, promoting ethical behavior among its members and in the medical device industry in general. The association's activities are not intended to generate profits. The association does not intend to create or promote cartels or gentlemen's agreements of any kind. The association does not engage in trade, commercial transactions or political activities.
