The organization aims to: (a) promote the development and application of biological control of pests and diseases in integrated plant protection and international cooperation in this field. (b) Collect, evaluate and disseminate information on biological control; (c) promote national and international activities in research and training, coordinate large-scale applications, and raise public awareness of the economic and social importance of biological control; (d) organize conferences, meetings and symposia and take all other measures to achieve the organization's general objective. The organization may consult with, cooperate with, or enter into agreements with international or national, governmental or non-governmental organizations. The organization does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes. The organization is a non-profit, non-governmental institution.
