Promotion of the objectives, activities and concerns of the IABSE (International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering) by receiving, procuring and providing financial resources for the subsidy or full financing of IABSE publications and events and those of its bodies, as well as theoretical and/or practical training programs for selected young engineers, to promote ideas, projects and activities in the sense of the IABSE, and to improve cooperation between practice and theory, researchers and teachers, decision-making bodies and the public, to finance or provide financial support for prizes and awards in this field and the associated expenses.
