The assets and returns of the foundation serve public-benefit purposes. The returns are to be used as follows: for special acquisitions at the Thusis hospital; for special acquisitions at the Thusis nursing home; for special acquisitions at the Domleschg nursing home; and for special acquisitions by the SPITEX organization in the Heinzenberg/Domleschg region. Furthermore, the foundation aims to convert the property in Sils i. D., No. 571/Plans 2 and 3, consisting of a residential building with a stable section, garage, and storage room, as well as a washhouse/garden house, including a stable if possible, into senior apartments. The apartments are to be rented at favorable rates to socially disadvantaged individuals, with priority given to relatives, then to individuals from Sils, followed by those from the Domleschg region, and finally those from the Viamala region. The foundation's purpose is to be fulfilled with the surplus returns. The foundation board shall decide annually on the use of the returns in accordance with the aforementioned purpose.
