To make visible the entire theological work of Karl Barth in its scope and significance, in collaboration with the estate commission appointed by Karl Barth's will and while preserving the rights granted to this commission, to collect and preserve the entire written work by and about Karl Barth, including his correspondence, and to prepare and publish a complete edition of Karl Barth's writings, to promote theological work in a biblical-evangelical understanding and in an ecumenical orientation.
