The foundation aims to promote art in Switzerland and abroad, particularly by a) supporting artists through scholarships, interest-free loans, or the loan of musical instruments, as well as providing financial support to music institutions, performances, and ensembles; b) facilitating musical education and training for artists; c) providing other direct and indirect support and promotion in the fields of music, literature, film, and monument preservation. The foundation primarily supports Swiss cultural institutions. Activities abroad are limited to those that serve cultural exchange in a broader sense (e.g., promoting artistic talent, internationally active artists, supporting performances or music ensembles with international appeal). The foundation does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes.
