The company's purpose is to trade in raw materials and other goods, as well as to conduct all related business, in particular but not limited to trading in derivatives and financial instruments, and to acquire, hold, manage, finance and dispose of assets and/or participations in other companies of all kinds in Switzerland and abroad, with the exception of transactions prohibited by the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad (BewG). The company is part of a group of companies and, to the extent permitted, directs its business activities towards the group's objectives. Furthermore, the company may, in the interest of the group, the direct and indirect shareholders of the group, the direct and indirect subsidiaries of these shareholders or joint venture companies of these shareholders, conclude contracts with third parties, in particular grant loans or other financing and provide security of all kinds for their liabilities, including by way of pledges on or security assignments and security transfers of the company's shares or by way of guarantees of any kind, provided that such contracts are concluded on market terms. The company may establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad and acquire, hold, sell or finance any type of business. The company may acquire, hold and sell real estate. The company may exploit, evaluate and manage intellectual property rights and know-how and engage in financial, trust and investment business. The company may engage in all commercial activities that are directly or indirectly related to the company's purpose and take all measures that appear to be suitable for promoting the company's purpose or are related to it.
