The foundation aims to preserve culturally and historically valuable exhibits and collections of classical philately in the long term and make them accessible to an interested public through suitable presentation (digitized publication on a well-networked website and participation in exhibitions) primarily within the country. The foundation is to design and maintain a house for postal history as a museum, where the exhibits and collections can be stored and exhibited in a professional manner. The foundation promotes postal historical studies as meaningful research work and supports their publication. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purposes. For the purpose of long-term preservation of the foundation, it may acquire and hold participations and other assets. The founder reserves the right, based on Art. 86a of the Swiss Civil Code and in compliance with the statutory requirements, to change the purpose of the foundation.
