Kimunyong Foundation

The foundation aims to: - Support scientific work on Dr. Kim Un-yong, the father of Olympic taekwondo, and the teachings of taekwondo and Olympic ideals; - Promote Christian ethics, which for Dr. Kim Un-yong is a central foundation for fair play and sportsmanship; - Promote international sports and cultural exchange, thereby promoting mutual understanding, friendship, and international peace; - Promote young athletes, especially young female athletes; - Support talented young athletes who want to use their education, discipline, and leadership experience in the field of sports diplomacy or a related international career; - Recognize outstanding achievements of individuals or organizations that reflect the spirit and values of the Kimunyong Foundation. The foundation fulfills its purpose by: - Making contributions to charitable and non-profit organizations at home and abroad; - Awarding scholarships to young athletes; - Contributing to scientific projects. Furthermore, the foundation can perform all acts and legal transactions that are suitable for promoting the foundation's purpose. The foundation does not pursue any commercial purpose and does not strive for profit.
