The purpose of the association is to offer comprehensive, full-day care for children in professionally managed day-care structures. The primary goal is to protect the interests and well-being of children and promote their development. The general principles of the Swiss Association for Childcare (kibesuisse) serve as a guiding framework. The day-care structures are open to every child whose parents or single parent is a member of the association. Admission is granted regardless of place of residence, origin, or denomination. The aim is to promote social interaction among children and provide parents with the opportunity to attend to professional and private appointments while their children are being professionally cared for. The children's group is understood as a social field of experience for children. Children are encouraged to express their natural curiosity and desire to explore and find their place within a group of peers.
