The association aims to revive, understand and flourish the Scandinavian way of life and culture from the period 793 AD to 1066. Crafts and way of life are to be worked out and reproduced as accurately as possible in order to achieve a museum-worthy status in their entire appearance. It also wants to find and show parallels to the ethnic groups living in Switzerland. Thus, the association wants to enrich the cultural-historical life of Switzerland. The association Klan Svisslendingar confesses to the faith of Asatru. In addition, the understanding of native flora and fauna is to be strengthened. The association wants to practice, promote and disseminate the sport of Historical European martial arts (HEMA). The friendly relations among members and with other associations with technical overlaps of interests are to be cultivated. The association is involved in the cultural life of the medieval scene and also does public relations work. Through regular training, seminars, design and craft activities, events, participation in historical events, trips to historical or natural areas and other suitable measures, the association wants to fulfill its purpose.
