The Association fights for human rights to not remain a declaration of intent, but to become an ethic that permeates the workings of our society, whether they are political, administrative or religious. It ensures that the actions of stakeholders, in direct contact with individuals affected by mental disorders, are respectful of the International Convention on Human Rights. The Association is committed to highlighting the discriminations and injustices suffered by individuals under the jurisdiction of the law and affected by mental disorders, and ensures that they have access to quality care without discrimination. To achieve these goals, the Association develops, among other things, the following actions: The Association can provide judicial support to defendants who are on trial before the courts. The Association can provide psycho-social support and the development of interdisciplinary networks to defendants and their loved ones. The Association can take any useful action to reveal situations that appear to it to be contrary to the Swiss Penal Code, the Nelson Mandela Rules and the European Convention on Human Rights, as well as the European Prison Rules.
