Improvement of sustainable quality of life and creation of more choices and decision-making opportunities for disadvantaged people in so-called developing and emerging countries. This is to be achieved primarily through the support of disadvantaged individuals directly or of organizations or projects that a) contribute to alleviating human suffering, b) create educational opportunities for people with limited access and opportunities to take advantage of a high-quality, future-oriented education, and c) enable disadvantaged individuals to earn a sustainable livelihood. The foundation is authorized to conclude all transactions that may serve the purpose of the foundation. Within this framework, the sale or encumbrance of the foundation's assets, as well as the non-commercial granting of loans and credits, are also permitted. The foundation can achieve its purposes itself, through auxiliary persons, or by granting its funds to other corporations or institutions with the same or similar purpose within the limits of tax law, or by procuring funds for other domestic and foreign corporations or institutions with the same or similar purpose. The foundation has an exclusively non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial or profit-oriented goals.
