The foundation aims to support the purpose of the Weizenkorn Foundation in Basel by providing suitable business, training and residential premises. To this end, the Liegenschaftsstiftung Shelter acquires and manages suitable properties and/or rental objects in the Basel area and makes them available to the Weizenkorn Foundation in Basel or to the persons employed, supported or recommended by this foundation at a fee to be determined by the foundation council. The foundation can also support the Weizenkorn Foundation in Basel through donations and assumption of financial obligations in its favor. If the fulfillment of this purpose becomes impossible, in particular because the Weizenkorn Foundation no longer exists or no longer continues its activities, the foundation aims to support other non-profit and tax-exempt institutions based in the canton of Basel-Stadt with the same or similar purpose, whose work is centrally based on the Christian faith.
