The association's public interest purpose is to provide medical and social support to patients with lung diseases, promote health, prevent and detect lung diseases in the canton, as well as support research related to its field of activity. To this end, it provides, among other things, the provision of respiratory equipment and the necessary advisory and care services for respiratory patients; the implementation of measures to mitigate the personal, social and financial consequences of the disease; informing the medical profession, nursing staff and the population; organizing courses and all other preventive or health-promoting activities useful for the purpose pursued; prevention, detection and assistance in the treatment of tuberculosis; supporting research in the field of lung diseases; and acquiring the necessary financial resources to cover the needs of the League within the framework of its objectives.
