The LyD Switzerland Foundation aims to dedicate itself to the analysis of public affairs, independent of political, religious, entrepreneurial or state groups, and to promote the values and principles of a free society organized according to democratic principles. In particular, it shall support measures and initiatives of all kinds that aim to guarantee personal freedom and development, the functioning of a free market economy, and the protection of private property in the areas of politics, economy, and society. Furthermore, concrete theses for the improvement of the free, democratically organized social order shall be proposed, and analyses, research, and publications in the field of public law and politics shall be conducted. The LyD Switzerland Foundation shall also benefit other natural or legal persons or institutions that are comparable non-profit organizations and/or foundations, which are also eligible for Swiss tax exemption or are tax-exempt in Switzerland or a canton, with the same objectives in Switzerland and abroad. This includes granting loans and scholarships, as well as financial support to universities or other educational or research institutions for educational and research purposes, and taking measures that are necessary and appropriate to achieve or promote the foundation's purpose. This shall contribute to the promotion of public welfare and the well-being of society, particularly in Chile, promote cultural exchange between Switzerland and Chile, and support people in need.
