The primary purpose of the foundation is to promote and support private individuals, institutions, and projects that teach, promote, accompany, and document media literacy and related interdisciplinary skills and competencies of children and young people, as well as people who work with children and young people in this field (e.g. educators, parents, youth workers, etc.). This also includes the promotion and support of young artists in the media creation sector. The secondary purpose is the development, organization, implementation, and financing of leisure activities and holidays for children and young people, particularly those in need and people with disabilities. The tertiary purpose is the promotion and financing of media products, documentaries, and other electronic products, as well as research in the areas of the primary purpose. The foundation's activities are not limited to the territory of the Swiss Confederation, and the foundation's supervision shall be entrusted to the federal government. The foundation may use its income and capital within the scope of its purpose. The foundation does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes.
