The main purpose of the foundation is to support Swiss citizens residing in Winterthur whose relatives are in a psychiatric hospital and are therefore unable or partially unable to provide for the professional advancement of their dependents in accordance with their abilities. If the main purpose cannot be achieved, the foundation may pursue general social, charitable and non-profit purposes. The foundation board decides on this. The foundation can use the income from the foundation assets annually. In addition, a portion of the foundation capital can be used for the main purpose. The foundation funds available for use may not exceed a total of 5% of the foundation capital. However, the funds may not be paid out to recipients whose need or purpose of use is in any way related to drug addiction, alcoholism or crime.
