The foundation aims to pursue charitable and humanitarian goals, specifically (1) supporting research projects in the field of internal medicine, particularly at the University of Basel; (2) providing one-time or regular support contributions to students and assistants of medicine at the University of Basel; (3) supporting scientific publications in the field of internal medicine; (4) providing support contributions to needy individuals requiring medical assistance of any kind; (5) providing contributions to individuals or institutions that uphold the idea of tolerance in pursuing social, charitable, or humanitarian (also non-medical) projects; (6) The foundation may, to the extent that it is conducive to the fulfillment of its purpose and it has sufficient means to cover the costs, employ personnel; (7) The provision of benefits, in any form, to the families of the founder is excluded.
