The company's purpose, in Switzerland and abroad, is the research, development, manufacturing, and marketing of technologies, products, and manufacturing processes for optical and electronic devices, sensors and quantum systems, medical devices and equipment, in all fields, particularly in the fields of medical, life sciences, and industrial metrology, as well as all related services. The company may, inter alia, in Switzerland and/or abroad: carry out any financial, commercial, or industrial activity, movable or immovable (with the exception of operations prohibited by the Federal Law on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad (LFAIE)) directly or indirectly related to its purpose; participate in any enterprises directly or indirectly related to its purpose; create branches or subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad; acquire, develop, manage, register, and exploit patents, trademarks, licenses, manufacturing processes, and intellectual property rights; grant loans or guarantees to shareholders, subsidiaries, parent companies, sister companies, or third parties, if this promotes its interests or those of the group of companies of which it is a part; carry out any cash pooling activity on behalf of the group to which it belongs.
