The association aims to promote barrier-free design in teaching and research at universities and colleges, particularly in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology (MINT subjects). It offers accessibility analyses of learning content and learning environments, as well as accessibility consulting for software projects at universities, colleges, and scientific publishers. Other activities include accessibility analyses of applications and websites, including consulting and workshops for designers, developers, and project managers. The association also supports the design and implementation of barrier-free products and services. It organizes lectures and workshops on the topic of accessibility and promotes MINT competencies for blind and visually impaired high school graduates. The association can establish branches both domestically and abroad, participate in other ventures of any kind, assume representations, and enter into contracts and transactions that could promote the purpose of the association or are directly or indirectly related thereto. It can also grant loans on its own or another's account, as well as provide guarantees and pledge transactions for affiliated companies and third parties. It can acquire, lease, rent, encumber, and dispose of real estate both domestically and abroad. The association can acquire, hold, manage, or sell any type of debt or securities, within Switzerland or abroad.
