The Vaud Association for the Elderly (MdA Vaud) aims to enhance the quality of life for retired individuals or those nearing retirement. Relying heavily on the dynamism of its members and their volunteer engagement, it encourages seniors to stay active and independent, as well as to meet other people. MdA Vaud offers activities in several areas: leisure, culture, well-being, sports, travel, and education. It includes two autonomous groups that carry out specific activities: the MdA Vaud Welcome Guides and Etre Grands-Parents... aujourd'hui (Being Grandparents... Today). Through the development of its activities and its ability to successfully carry out new projects, MdA Vaud contributes to combating the isolation and dependence of seniors in society, as well as promoting intergenerational relationships.
