The purpose of the association, a non-profit organization, is to directly and indirectly support, promote, protect and standardize open collaboration for metaverses and their surrounding ecosystems, in order to promote interoperability, standardization and ownership. The association may take any necessary and suitable measures to achieve the aforementioned purpose, plan and implement initiatives, and participate - also financially - in initiatives of other organizations or financially or otherwise support other organizations or individuals, as long as all these activities serve the purpose of the association. The association may also accept donations from third parties and act as a trustee in pursuit of its purpose. The association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not strive for profit. To promote the aforementioned purpose, the association will attempt to invite all interested parties to participate on a fair, just and open basis.
