The company's purpose is to design, research and develop optical semiconductor components, primarily for the medical field, e.g. for treatments in the oral cavity, heart surgery, ophthalmology as well as antibacterial and antiviral treatments. Furthermore, the company may engage in all activities related to the aforementioned purpose. The company may establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad, take over representations, engage in any business activities and conclude contracts of any kind that may promote the company's purpose or are directly or indirectly related to it. It may acquire, hold, encumber and sell real estate in Switzerland and abroad, except for real estate transactions prohibited by the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad (BewG).
