The purpose of the PDG is to promote cooperation among member companies regarding the availability and use of IP-related information. The purpose of the PDG can be pursued through active cooperation and/or through the exchange of knowledge and experience in areas related to the availability, quality, and use of intellectual property information. Within the scope of the association's purpose, the following activities may be included, which: (a) serve as a forum for discussing challenges related to IP-related information in general and, in particular, in relation to the needs of member companies, (b) provide activities such as working groups or task forces established by the board or within the working groups and in which members can participate according to agreed practices, (c) serve as a forum for exchanging experiences with information or technology providers, (d) serve as an international body for contacts and cooperation with international organizations or offices, (e) closely collaborate with other groups or organizations with similar interests. The PDG pursues non-profit purposes.
