Patient Care Foundation

The foundation serves exclusively to care for individuals (also referred to as patients below) who have been placed in cryonic biostasis or other forms of biostasis until the time when they are again considered legally alive, functional, and independent. This applies to both patients currently in biostasis and those who will be placed in biostasis after the establishment of this foundation. Among other things, but not limited to, the foundation shall engage in the following activities: a. Maintaining cryonic biostasis or other forms of biostasis for individuals who are already in a state of biostasis. If the continuation of the foundation or its activities is essentially threatened, the focus is on preserving the neuronal structures (primarily the brain) of these individuals. b. Placing individuals in cryonic biostasis or other forms of biostasis. c. Reanimating patients from a state of biostasis, restoring their health, and supporting their integration into future society and the reacquisition of their legal autonomy. d. Research to reanimate individuals from cryonic biostasis or other forms of biostasis. e. Research to make the initiation and maintenance of cryonic biostasis or other forms of biostasis more efficient and effective. In case of doubt, the foundation prioritizes the purposes a to e as follows: First, the tasks mentioned under a), followed by the tasks mentioned under b), followed by the tasks mentioned under c), followed by the tasks mentioned under d), followed by the tasks mentioned under e). The foundation can engage in all operational and supportive activities that fall within the scope of the foundation's purpose or are related to it. To fulfill its purpose, it can cooperate with suitable institutions and organizations, support them, or establish and operate them itself. It can also transfer patients in biostasis and the responsibility and supervision over them to another foundation or organization on a permanent basis if this better fulfills the purpose of the foundation. The foundation can also provide other assets and financing to the other foundation or organization for this purpose. The foundation fulfills its purpose in the entire territory of Switzerland and abroad. It operates exclusively on a non-profit basis and does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes.
