The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purposes. It is designed for long-term operation. The core task of the foundation is to provide contributions to the following three beneficiaries. A. Providing contributions to the municipality of Vaz/Obervaz for the benefit of children, young people, and individuals up to the age of 25 who are resident in the municipality of Vaz/Obervaz. The aim of the support activity is to increase the attractiveness of the municipality as a place of residence for families and to prevent their emigration. The municipality may provide contributions in the following form: a. Scholarships and grants to cover non-otherwise covered education costs of gifted children, young people, and individuals up to the age of 25 from low-income parents, provided that one of the following conditions is met: Citizens of the municipality of Vaz/Obervaz, permanently resident in the municipality of Vaz/Obervaz. Swiss citizens, resident in the municipality of Vaz/Obervaz for at least three years without interruption. b. Contributions to local private organizations such as associations that engage in sports, cultural, or educational activities for local children and young people, as well as individuals up to the age of 25. The contributions to the beneficiaries are determined and paid out by the municipal council of Vaz/Obervaz. The municipality informs the foundation council annually about the use of the paid-out contributions. B. Providing contributions to the Swiss Cancer League, Effingerstrasse 40, 3008 Bern. If this institution no longer exists, the foundation council chooses a new beneficiary with the same or similar purpose. The new beneficiary must be active in Switzerland and have its seat in Switzerland. The foundation council requests the approval of the supervisory authority. C. Providing contributions to the Swiss Mountain Aid, Soodstrasse 55, 8134 Adliswil. If this institution no longer exists, the foundation council chooses a new beneficiary with the same or similar purpose. The new beneficiary must be active in Switzerland and have its seat in Switzerland. The foundation council requests the approval of the supervisory authority. The foundation income available for contributions is defined in Article 3. The payments to the beneficiaries are made in equal parts to each of them. The foundation council can temporarily or permanently choose a different distribution key for the allocation to the beneficiaries. The circle of beneficiaries can be temporarily or permanently expanded by the foundation council. The new beneficiaries must be active in the same or similar areas in Switzerland as the existing ones and have their seats in Switzerland. The recipients of contributions have no enforceable claims against the foundation.
